As of Spirit #6 I'm done. No more.Number 7 looked like one of those horrible New Adventure comics Kitchen Sink did years ago. Pheh.Cooke is a talented artist but his Spirit is bland and dull. I'll...

Re: darwyn cooke

Well of course it's not Eisner's Spirit...NOTHING IS...and I mean nothing, bar none. The Spirit by Eisner is one of my all time fav strips, but......I absolutely love Cooke's Spirit too. I like it for...

Re: darwyn cooke

I'm a big Darwyn Cooke fan. Very big. I'm still having trouble getting really into his Spirit series. The stories haven't been all that involving. My biggest problem, however, is the inking. I think...

I also am really enjoying Darwyn's Spirit. It's one of the few monthlies I buy.Having said that, though, #7 was a mixed bag. I liked the Palmiotti story, but the one by Kyle Baker was so poorly paced...

Re: darwyn cooke

I thought the first issue was kind of bland but that issues #2 -5 were somewhat better. Unfortunately, I disliked #6 intensely and had trouble even finishing it.The art is fine. I enjoy Cooke's...

Re: darwyn cooke

I like Cooke's Spirit....although of course it could never be as good as Eisner's own work. But it is at least as good, if not better, than many of the ghosted Spirit's of the early 40's -strips that...

Re: darwyn cooke

... the scripts for Darwyn Cooke's Spirit comic have been pretty awful. I enjoyed the Spirit/Batman special, and the first two issues, but after those ... yeesh. If the scripts don't improve soon, I'm...
